Memorial Tournament Jack Nicklaus

Year after year the Memorial Tournament commands one of the strongest golf fields due in part to tournament founder and golf legend Jack Nicklaus, but also due to the tournament’s special designation as an invitational.
The unique invitational status—granted to just four other stops on the PGA Tour—allows the tournament more control over its field than a standard PGA event. Only required to invite the top 75 money finishers from the previous PGA season, the tournament can fill its smaller field (roughly 132 players) with any international stars it pleases.
